Thriller was jackson's sixth album that he ever put out. This album was freed global in nineteen eighty two. This album came after his other widely known and esteemed album off the wall which came out in nineteen seventy nine. Between off the wall and adventure story jackson went through a heap of changes. Between this time jackson was having a heap of family difficulties. Including his father going through an affair with another woman that was twenty years younger than him and likewise having a child with the same woman, and then later telling his family with regards to it. Adventure story was freed on november thirtieth in the year nineteen eighty two by epic records. This album followed jackson's widely known and esteemed and successful album off the wall which was freed in nineteen seventy nine. In the rolling stone magazine which was put out in two thousand and three, thriller was rated number twenty out of the five hundred largest albums of all time. Thriller was number three out of two hundred by the national association of recording merchandisers. With a budget of seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars to work with, this album was recorded amidst april and november of nineteen eighty two. Thriller was recorded at west-lake recording studios in los angeles california. With the assistance of quincy jones, micheal jackson wrote four out of nine songs that were on the thriller album. And seven of the nine songs were likewise freed as singles before the actual album came out. Unlike a good deal of artists, jackson didn’t write his songs on paper and when he recorded he plainly remembered these songs in his mind. Jones likewise told jackson that adventure story would not make it and be as successful as off the wall, but jackson went in front and put it on the album anyways. It is a good thing he did because whether or not he didn’t we would not have this terrific song that galore persons love. . |
